Red Creek Coyote

Rob’s Notes:

The coyote was standing. Taken in Red Creek in Colorado, extreme North West Colorado.

The front right track is taken from a coyote that I believe to be male. Red clay lined this creek — the perfect substrate for casting tracks. You can see hair marks from his foot in the bronze.

The curve of the bronze on this track comes from the curvature of the creek bank. The soapstone carving mimics this curve.

Perfect example of a coyote track: oval, tight and fluid.
